Member of Parliament Dr Bhagwat Karad or Dr. Bhagwat Krishnarao Karad is retiered Pediatric Surgeon was born in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. He started her political career from the ground roots of the Municipal Corporation of Aurangabad. Dr. Karad became deputy mayor of Aurangabad in 1988. Before being nominated as the Rajya Sabha member from the Bharatiya Janta Party he served as the mayor of Aurangabad municipal corporation twice in 200o- 2001 and 2005- 2006.
Dr. Bhagwat Karad became MP of the upper house of parliament in 2020. He was serving as the minister of state in the Ministry of Finance in the second term of the Narendra Modi Government.
