Smt. Geeta Shakya alias Chandraprabha, current Member of Parliament of Upper House (Rajya Sabha) from Uttar Pradesh constituency. She was born in Hamirpur Uttar Pradesh and is a teacher by profession. She started her political career as the Gram Pradhan of her Gram Panchayat.
