K Sudhakaran, an Indian politician from the Kerala state and a current member of the parliament is serving as the representative of the Kannur constituency of the state. He is a senior leader of the Kerala Congress Party and currently serving as the president of the Kerala State Congress Party. In his political career he first time contested in direct elections of the state assembly in 1991 and was elected to the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Kerala State.

He was born in the small village Nadal of in the Kannur district in the family of V. Ramunni and Madhavi. Sudhakaran obtained a Masters degree from the government University and joined politics. He was married to K. Smitha in 1987 and has two sons in his family. Sudhkaran was known as the honest politician of the state as there was no criminal case registered against him as per his affidavit submitted to ECI.
