Vallabhaneni Balashowry, a Sitting member of the 18th Lok Sabha Parliament of India was born in the 1968 district of Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. He was born a child in a simple family finished his schooling in his home town and started his career in politics from his village. The village, Mutluru is one of the biggest villages of Andhra Pradesh state. By the time he became a member of the Indian National Congress party and kept contesting in local body elections.

He first contested as a candidate of the Indian National Congress party in the General Election 2004 from Tenali Constituency. He served as a Member of parliament till 2008. In 2008 the constituency was abolished and merged into the Guntur Constituency.
