Trivendra Singh Rawat, Star Pracharak of RSS Dehradun City and Current Lok Sabha Member was born in 1960 in the small village of Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand state. He finished his early schooling in the government school of his village and moved ahead to Srinagar City, Uttarakhand for his higher education. Trivendra Singh Rawat MP obtained a degree in journalism from HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar. He joined Bhartiya Janata Party and was involved in the Sparate Uttarakhand State movement.
He served in various posts of the BJP Party before being nominated for the first Assembly Election of the state in 2002. TS Rawat won the Doiwala seat and served as the Agriculture minister of state also. He was proposed as the Chief Minister of the state after the BJP came with the majority in the state government. T.S. Rawat served as CM of the state till 2021. He became in the limelight for his controversial comments in state politics.

He won the election by defeating his Congress party counterpart by more than 1.5 lakh votes.
