Shri Amra Ram is a current member of the Parliament of India and the only candidate who secured a Lok Sabha seat in Rajasthan state as the candidate of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). Amra Ram contested from the Sikar constituency in the general election of 2024. He defeated Bhartiya Janta Party candidate S. Saraswati by more than seventy-two thousand votes, securing 5,86404 votes. Amraram also served as the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly member for two consecutive terms from 2003 to 2013.

He was born in 1955 in the family of Dalla Ram and Rami Devi in the small village of Mandwara. Amra Ram was brought up with his siblings in his native village and attended the government primary school. He attended Rajasthan University and obtained a Master’s degree with LLB. He was active in student politics as a Student Federation of India member.
