Jagannath Sarkar, Politician, Social worker, and member of the lower house of parliament of India was born in 1963 in a Bengali family in Tashuli village of Bankura district of West Bengal State. His primary schooling was done at the government school of his village and moved to Sitapur College for his graduation in Arts. Jagannath Sarkar later completed his Bachelor of Education degree from Kalyani University of West Bengal Government. He started working as a teacher and kept his social work in his area of teaching.
