Bastipati Nagaraju, popularly known as “Bastipati Panchalingala Nagaraju” businessman turned politician and member of the 18th Lok Sabha of the Indian Parliament was born in 1979 in the Panchalingala district of Andhra Pradesh. He contested as the candidate of Kurnool Constituency of Andhra Pradesh and won the election by a huge margin. He was born to a family of Kuruva Bhushanna’s family in Panchalingala, He was a bright student of the family during his schooling time in his hometown.

Shri B. Nagaraju moved to Swamy Ramanand Teertha Marathwada University and completed his degree in Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He was appointed as a teacher in a government school in his local area. But he always had a corner for politics in his heart while he was working as a school teacher. Bastipati Nagaraju resigned from his teaching profession and joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He contested in local body election of his area and succeeded. In 2024 he was introduced as the candidate for the general election from the Kurnool constituency. He defeated B. Y. Ramaiah of the YSR Congress Party in Andra Pradesh.
